Missy and Nauman's wedding Part II

Stella, as always, seemed to have a grand time at the big party. She was passed around and seemed quite content getting held by whoever was wanting to give her some attention. She danced, she ate good food, and then she collapsed and spent the last few hours of the wedding sleeping soundly in her pack-n-play in the other room, allowing us to also really enjoy the wedding.

Missy and Nauman's wedding

Missy and Nauman (Brian's sister and our now brother-in-law) were married this weekend in Houston. The ceremony was on Friday and the reception was Saturday, followed by a family brunch on Sunday. It was a beautiful and fun reception and we had such a lovely time getting to know Nauman's family and getting to spend so much time with Brian's family.

More Camping at Inks Lake

Cold start Sunday morning. Stella enjoyed playing in her PJ's and sandals with socks.

View from our campsite at sunset. I was taking a break from loosing to Brian in cards.

Stella, much like the Lorax, speaks for trees.

Hiking on the Green Trail. Stella squealed and clapped when we got out the backpack carrier. Saying she is fond of hiking is an understatement.

Stella seemed to enjoy hanging out by the car.

Camping at Inks Lake

We went camping this past weekend (Stella's second camping trip) to Inks Lake State Park. We all had a great time despite the rainy start. This is Stella first checking out our camp site.

Stella enjoying the swings at Inks Lake. They went much higher than her park at home.

Stella splashing in the lake before she turned blue and her teeth started chattering (the water was probably about 68 degrees)

Stella has taken up cleaning and we encourage it. She even wanted a tidy camp site.

Stella running on the playground, sad that we had to leave.

Easter

Stella went to her 2nd Easter Egg hunt. The first one was at her school so I don't have photos of that event, but the 2nd one was in our neighborhood. I think Stella learned a lot from her first one and her technique served her quite well. She scored 7 eggs on her own. I had to laugh at the other parents following their children around showing them the eggs. Stella found them on her own and knew what to do! She really enjoyed finding the eggs and putting them in her basket. We did it again at home, over and over and over...well you get the picture, again.
