Christmas In Austin!

We used last years lights to decorate the house. I think the mismatched colors fit in the neighborhood well.

Since we bought a crate for Lobo, we decided we could do a tree and bought a nice fake or "reusable" tree and one of those all-in-one trim a tree packages for 11 bucks! Not bad!



This is Lobo's new space. So far he seems to like it. He surprised us and went into the crate on his own when we were at home. No more accidents!

Thanksgiving and Baby Shower!

My parents before the big vegetarian Thanksgiving feast which was very tasty if I say so myself.



My dear friend Emily not only helped coordinate a beautiful and fun shower, she also made me this beautiful quilt. Maxella is going to love it.

Brian and I about to go to our friend's wedding. It was so cold in Austin that night. Low 40's and raining, but the wedding was very romantic with fireplaces lit and candles everywhere.



Our last camping trip before the baby. I was 33 weeks pregnant. The dogs had fun, and we did too, except the sleeping part.

Baby Shower

My co-workers had a shower for me. It was my first one and very sweet and tons of fun. It was such a crazy morning at work that it was so nice to step away and eat, laugh and open baby gifts.

New Camera!

Due to our impending baby who probably won't hold still for the perfect shot we decided to get a new camera that takes pictures a bit faster. Technology sure keeps changing. So far we are quite happy with our new toy.

Well, we are making more progress on the nursery! We also had our good friend Anne in town from Florida for our friends, Deanna and Scott's wedding. It was a beautiful wedding and Anne's visit was so nice. Brian and I also went to visit my family in PA when Fall weather was present and the trip was really lovely. I miss Fall so much!

Big Changes! Brian and I are expecting our first child. Our due date is the first day of 2008! We will see if we get a new year's baby or maybe a nice tax deduction. Included are some photos of me pregnant and initial shots of our nursery packed with our most recent purchases including the most adorable little cloth diapers we have ever seen!

Today it snowed in Austin! It started out with freezing rain overnight and a sheet of ice on the driveway and cars. Brian had to go to work, but because I follow the school closures, I got to stay home! Around 11 am I looked outside and saw snow, real snow. The dogs had a great time playing in the snow, as did I! Here are some pictures of snow in Austin. What a treat, however, I am glad it should be warming up by this weekend. The next time I want to see snow is in Colorado when we go skiing.

Some more pictures of the house. There's freezing rain in Austin today. It is nice to have some time at home. After this I am going to finish the bedroom. There is only one last wall to be painted!

We closed on our new home on November 30th and moved in the weekend of December 17th. During the holidays we spent a lot of time remodeling and have painted most of the rooms and finally cleaned out the garage. We are very pleased with how much we have accomplished. We can't wait to host a party soon!
