Now that Phoebe can sit up, Stella and Phoebe are really becoming good buds. They sit next to each other at the small table in the playroom, sit on the floor laughing and giggling together, and the other night they took their first bath together. That was a lot of fun. Phoebe loved being in the big tub and Stella thought it was the greatest thing ever having her sister with her in the tub. It was a bit challenging as Phoebe was slippery and she still can't sit perfectly. It required both parents to do bath time which is rough as usually the other one is on kitchen clean up duty while bath time is going on, but it was worth the smiles and giggles from both girls. The first few pictures were from Sesame Street Live. Stella and I went for a special outing and she had a blast. Towards the end, I was sort of hoping each musical number was the last, but I guess we got our money's worth! She screamed out when Abby came on stage "Hi Abby!" and she danced and sang and squealed with delight when all her favorite Sesame Street characters came over to say hello. She said her favorite part was getting to meet Prairie Dawn (the only character she got to shake hands with). I was most impressed with her when I told her we couldn't buy the $10 Elmo balloon because it cost too much. Stella just shrugged, walked away and then found some confetti on the floor and thought that was the greatest thing ever, even though she was surrounded by a sea of Elmo balloons as most of the other parents just gave in. Stella is one neat kid.
A glimpse of a bit of mundane daily life and some more interesting treats so that we can stay connected to friends and family.

And some more pictures...
Stella, all rosy cheeks after coming in from the cold and snow! Such a rare occasion in Austin.
Stella and Phoebe all bundled up on a 23 degree day in Austin. We were on the way to the Dr. for Stella who had an ear infection. We visited the Dr. 9 times in the month of January for either Stella or Phoebe. They must have their charts in the "frequent flyer" section.

Stella looking cute in one of her many adorable new (and not new but still so cute) from cousin Olivia.
Phoebe and her big blue eyes. I really wonder if they will stay blue or turn brown like Stella's did.
More recent pictures
It's so hard to find the time to post but I want to keep up so that we also have some form of a permanent photo collection, so here goes, a lot of pictures of the past month. Here are a few from Stella's 3rd Birthday bash. Jenna, Josh, Missy and Phoebe at the Salt Lick.
Phoebe, quite happy sleeping in Grandma Linda's arms.
